Located in the heart of Provence des Papes, the Haut-Vaucluse has four special geographical features which display the wonderful variety of landscapes to be found in the region:

* Mont Ventoux (1919m), the ‘Giant of Provence’ classified “Biosphere Reserve” by UNESCO, is a remarkable ecological site.

* The Massif of Uchaux offers a variety of scenery and its many hiking trails allow visitors to discover the diversity of landscape (hills, valleys, plateaux, pine forests) and also the flora and fauna of the Massif.

* Dentelles de Montmirail: limestone rocks, eroded to their present form, the Dentelles de Montmirail are a paradise for outdoor recreation and the ideal place for hiking and climbing in all seasons.

* Toulourenc Valley: At the foot of the Giant of Provence, this river valley is fresh and cool in the height of the Provencal summer.
